Process Lasso

Overview

Process Lasso is a state-of-the-art, highly optimized, automated Windows process (program) management tool. Through managing the programs running on your computer, Process Lasso increases system responsiveness. It does this by dynamically adjusting the priority classes of programs so that some are given higher priority accesss to the CPU(s) than others.  This increases foreground applications responsiveness while minimizing the impact on the performance of background applications.

With Process Lasso, no longer will a single (or mulitple) processes be able to bring your system to a virtual stall. Process Lasso will let you keep interacting with your computer, even when it is totally swamped.

Other features of Process Lasso are very popular, such as default priority classes, default CPU affinities, disallowed processes, and forced paging out of virtual memory on a periodic basis. These features arise from user requests and give you the ability to tweak how YOUR programs run. Now you can decide which are the most important, and rank them accordingly -- or perhaps give certain programs one CPU core and other programs the other CPU core (side note: that is what 'CPU affinity' is, the CPUs a program is allowed to utilize).

Process Lasso uses virtually no system resources itself, being written in highly refined native x32 and x64 C++. Unlike industry competitors, it uses 'smart' technology to decide when processes should be lowered in priority. Our process restraint rules and core engine have been time tested and we're constantly improving them. The core engine can run stand-alone and consume as little as 1-3MB or RAM.
