What is
considered an 'application' or 'product' by the
PECompact license distribution rights?
To be as liberal as possible with our licenses, a
single application can consists of many compressed
dependencies. We define an application as a set of files
packaged together in the same installer.
Which license is for me?
Person 1: I don't want to distribute anything,
I just want to compress some files on my computer with
PECompact.
You should pick the FREEWARE license.
Person 2: I am an individual developer who
releases all my software as freeware.
You should pick the FREEWARE license.
Sole proprietor: I am an individual developer
who wants to compress my shareware product(s) with
PECompact.
You should pick the SHAREWARE license and then choose
the number of products you wish to distribute.
Company: I am a member of a company that
wishes to compress its retail software with PECompact.
You should pick the COMMERCIAL license and then choose
the number of products you wish to distribute.
What is your update policy?
Updates are free for the first year after the
initial license purchase. Subsequently, each additional
year of updates can be purchased for 50% of the retail
price of your license type. If this is not desirable,
unlimited (lifetime) updates can be purchased by paying
for your second year of updates at the time of your
initial purchase. For example, instead of paying $100
for a license, you would pay $150 for the license.
Versions released during the term of your update
subscription will always be licensed to you and will
always be retrievable from our user services area.

Who is this RegSoft / ShareIt?
Since having own credit card merchant account incurs substantial
overhead, including weeding out fraudulent orders, we outsource our order
processing to the largest software vendor payment service in the world,
Digital River Inc. Many years ago
Digital River bought a number of payment processing services and has kept
these services operating independent of one another. Therefore, we use the
following two subsidiaries of Digital River:
Regsoft.com - One of the largest
software vendor payment processing companies in the United States.
ShareIt.com - One of the largest
software vendor payment processing companies in Europe. They also handle
U.S. orders just fine.
We actually believe both these services to be the largest in their
respective target demographics, so you can rest assured that these services
are legitimate and stable.
When you order one of our products via credit card, your credit card
statement will show an appropriate bill by one of the above companies, as
indicated to you at the time of order.
If you wish to make direct payments to Bitsum Technologies, this can be
